(Matthew 16:13-16) 13Now when Jesus came into the district of Caesarea Philippi, He was asking His disciples, “Who do people say that the Son of Man is?”
14And they said, “Some say John the Baptist; and others, Elijah; but still others, Jeremiah, or one of the prophets.”
15He said to them, “But who do you say that I am?”
16Simon Peter answered, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.”
It does not matter what the world says about Jesus. It does not matter what you friends say, or your co-workers, or your neighbors. What matters is your understanding of who Jesus is. Some time in everyone’s life, they have to answer the same question. Who do you say Jesus is?
You do not have to take my word for it, you can read if for yourself. The Bible tells of everything Jesus was to be before his coming, of who He was on Earth, and of who He is in Heaven.
A perfect place to start is, John 3:16 “For God so loved the world that He sent His only begotten Son, for who so ever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” When we look at this world with our human eye, we see pain and darkness. But God sees the people He loves so much that He is willing to save us all. God is no respector of persons. The Bible tells us that. He will save anyone who asks. There is no sin too great.
